After 30 years working in home care and end-of-life care, Derek Ruth, the founder and Registered Manager of Serene Care Jersey, was done with watching individuals being robbed of their dignity: their days a programmed schedule, their wants ignored, and their only personal activity a walk in the garden—whether they liked to walk in the garden or not.
He created Serene Care Jersey to provide home care that doesn’t erase what makes you you, but instead informs every part of the care you receive. Because when you remain yourself, life remains worth living.
